I have been very comfortable in my job for the past 7 Years. I love what I do and have a hard time imagining that I am ready for something different. Yet, I have goals in my life that my current job does not seem to fit in.
There have been times in my life that I have started my own companies. Some have been very successful, and others...well, they taught me why I don't want to be unsuccessful. At this point I am ready to start looking for consulting jobs. The experiences from my previous self-employed companies, my conversations and consulting sessions with c-level executives, and current education have prepared me to take the next step. There are several companies that I am researching and others I am sure I don't know about.
The next step is to contact a few of the consulting companies and see if there is a fit. The next few months should be interesting.
